And the fans go CRAZY

So what's it like to live in a World Cup Stadt? Bloody nuts. Germany last night played Poland and we sat out on the balcony with some brewskis to listen to it on the radio (yes we are TV less as they want you to pay 17.50€ per month for the privalge which IOHO is not worth it) it also gives a nice sense of nostalgia...

Anyway halft time 0:0, Full time 0:0 even though Poland was only playing with 10 for quite a while... then having left it to the very last minute litlerally a bit beyond actually in the 92 minute Germany scores. The radio announcer nearly has a heart attack but that's ok as we cant really hear him anymore. The cheering can be heard from almost every window and builds to a huge climax as the various TV and radio stations announce the news. There are drums (us mainly), airhorns, fireworks all over the place - from peoples balconies or windows, between the flats. The place is nuts.

According to the reports the Fan Mile had over 500,000 people and they were not sure if any of them were going to go home.

Every second car has German flags on it today ;-)

So that's life for the World Cup Hosts.

Cheers
Jack...
