When I grow up...

Timmy and I had the following conversation last night as I was putting him to bed:

me: "When you wake up tomorrow we're going to go to Kita"
Tim: "To school..."
me: "You'll go to school when you're a big boy"
Tim (thinking for a second...): "When I'm big I'll also drink coffee"
me: "That's right, when you're big you'll drink coffee"
Tim: "Mama is big, Mama drinks coffee"

Tim at nearly 2.5 years

Our little man is growing very quickly.  He can now talk very well and talks English to Jack and Russian to me.  German is a little worse so far, but there's still time.  We're in the middle of the age of tantrums and a few weeks ago I experienced our first classic 'in-the-shop' tantrum, with the whole deal - Tim throwing himself on the floor screaming, all the people looking at me as if I'm the worst mother in the world, etc etc etc   Other than that he is totally fascinated with all things to do with construction - diggers, loaders, cement trucks (absolute favourite atm)... so he gets really excited every time we pass by a construction site.

Here are a few photos.  On the second he's with Nastya (his now auntie - my brother's wife), and on the third we're with my Grandma, thus his great-grandma.

Our first jack o'lantern

On Wednesday evening Tim and I made our first jack o'lantern.  He was a little scared of it at first, but now wants the candle on inside it all the time! :)
