To Fair Vote in Russia!

Today there were mass protests in Russia against Putin and for fair presidential vote on the 4th of March. Here in Berlin there was also a little demonstration where we took part with Sveta and Kolya. Timmy and I even made a banner - our first for any demo so far. As it happened, it was by far the biggest banner and certainly one of the most popular. We had people come up to us asking to take photos with our banner and also people taking photos of the banner itself. It read "Путин В.В.ОН!" meaning "Putin go away!". According to a local newspaper there were around 200 people demonstrating. In Moscow anywhere between 30 000 and 120 000 depending on whether you believe the government or opposition. Either way - it's great that people are finally getting tired of simply being cattle and making their voice heard!

21 months

Timmy has started repeating words! He can't reproduce them 100% exactly yet, but he repeats the main sounds and syllables. Two new favourite words are Апельсин (orange) and Горчица (mustard). Tim really enjoys playing with his toy trains and doing things out of play doh (mainly squishing bits of different colours into one colourful ball) . And once again he's in need of a haircut - the fringe is almost getting into his eyes again! He also outgrew his first snow suit and migrated into a larger version which is good for the weather we've had over the last week - mild winter is over, welcome -8 with some snow and freezing wind!

Last month Timmy also started using the potty. We offer it to him after naps and they do the same in the Kita. It seems to be working really well and he's really proud of himself when there's something in there after he goes :)
