I need a new phone

My (ex-IBM 4yr old?) old old OMG its so old 6610i is dying. Instead of vibrating it makes a sick-death-rattle coughing sound, the buttons don't work all the time, the screen is scratched beyond readability and the battery lasts for about one call. It has also become a common laughing stock of people at work...

Verdict: I need a new phone.

I only want a Nokia preferably it will
  • must have the new style small power connector;
  • would ideally not slide / flip / twist / fall in half;
  • be as small or smaller than my current phone (shouldn't be too hard);
  • have good battery life;
other that no specific requirements that I can think of.

Any suggestions? Do you have my perfect phone - or one I should not buy under any circumstances?

  1. I am yet to find a new Nokia with good battery life but apart from that I'm very happy with the 6124

  2. Yawwnn....can't beat my 7-year old Sony Ericsson k700i. It's been dropped, wet, heated, etc and still works fine and dandy. But the laughing stock bit does hurt sometimes. :-)

    I'm looking at the HTCs (what used to be Dopods) or a replacement Sony Ericsson whichever is cheaper.

    P.S. I had a very nice new SE k850i which I drowned 2 months after getting it hence sticking with my current phone.

  3. I am in love with my 6300. It meets all of your specs, but the battery life is average. Best phone I've ever had by far.

  4. Follow up: I bought a Samsung Omnia. Awesome phone - I don't know how to use 99.5% of the features yet. It's a great touch screen phone. Only major concern is that it's running Windows CE. 'nuff said...
