That was my first thought when Chie and Daniel brought us a flower pot yesterday when they came over for dinner. These look like they're a type of daisies... which I love. They're always so happy looking up at the sun... until I kill them that is... *sigh* I hope these ones survive a bit longer, but considering that we managed to kill a cactus ... hmmmIt was very nice to have people over for dinner... after just "doing" stuff in the flat, it was good just to sit and talk and eat and drink wine. Actually on the subject of wine... what happens when we can't find our only corkscrew amongst about two dozen boxes of "stuff"??? No worries mate - Jack takes a big screw, drives it into the cork... and then pulls it out with a pair of pliers. :) that last part is sometimes a bit difficult depending on how well the cork is stuck... but worked three times last night, so there you go! I guess this method is literally a corkSCREW :)

In other news, a lovely woman from the 18th floor was getting rid of some of her old furniture, so we inherited two bookshelves, a cute standing lamp, another lamp-cover and two chairs. One bookshelf and the chairs will need a bit of love, but for people who currently own very little furniture it's very good.
