3 months

Here we are - 92 days! In some ways it seems that these three months have flew, and on the other, as a very good friend of mine said - I can't imagine life before Timmy. To celebrate this marvellous day Tim decided to set a new sleeping record last night at 9 hours. We're very glad that we moved his sleep time back to the original 10pm, because he's been sleeping for 8 hours straight this whole week... yey - happy parents. I made a caramel mud cake to celebrate, but unfortunately I decided to alter the recipe a little for the frosting and it was waaay too runny. Either way we had three candles on it and the three adults blew them out, since Tim was about to have a hissy fit :)

This week was also the last day for our baby massage course. I am really glad we did it, because Tim really enjoyed the company of other babies and also the massage itself. His favourite are tummy and back massages, and arms are least favourite. Now I have to see about some other courses that we could do. May be baby swimming...?

My best friend Nutella

Along with beer Tim seems to have developed a very strong preference for Nutella. Every time it makes an appearance on the dining table, he starts talking to it, smiling and laughing. Here's some evidence:

I have very much been enjoying being a mother. But this week even a little bit more so. As it turns out, both zoos in Berlin give freshly baked mums very cheap yearly passes, which grant unlimited entry for mum and her baby for a whole year. So now Tim and I have a pass to each of the zoos, and also to the aquarium which we will hopefully be using quite a bit. This week Mum, Tim and I made it to the east zoo - Tierpark, which made for a very nice outing:

While looking for baby slings and carriers I came across something that I haven't thought of before... carrying twins. I find that carrying Tim is already quite a challenge and with him getting heavier and heavier it's not that easy anymore. But I couldn't imagine carrying two kids! There is an actual baby carrier, or you can do it with with a sling.

Some more photos from this week:

And generically Berlin:

  1. With slings and carriers, I used a hug-a-bub wrap, which looks very similar to what you were carrying Tim in in one photo, while Maya was young. Once she could hold her head up I got an Ergo, which I can't recommend highly enough! It puts the weight of baby on your hips, rather than your shoulders. :)

Oh and Tim must have good taste - beer and nutella. :) Yum. Just not at the same time. ;)
