The joys of flying Ansett in Siberia

Confused? Don't worry it happens to the best of us. We've recently spent some time in Siberia with Polina's parents and to get there we flew in an Ansett Airlines plane!

It certainly came as quite a shock to me,
after the shock of having a food trolley rolled over my foot and through my knee,
I decided to get up and go pee.
There I did find,
I was on Ansett Airlines!

In a word - do not fly Ural Airlines, no matter how cheep the fairs ;-)

Another funny thing - silly pengiuns in a German shop:

Sorry nothing deep and meaningful today. Hope everyone's well though!

  1. LOL... the important thing is that you got there in one piece... as for the emotional trauma, well, dont you have a professional living with you?

  2. :-) Oh dear, they must be pretty old planes, though old Australian planes are probably safer than really old Russian planes.

  3. Vika - that's all true, though I think we'll need to outsource some of my emotional traumas otherwise the professional at home wont have time to take real (read paying) clients ;-)

Cam - yes effing way (unfortunately).

Zoya - yup pretty ancient, I was just most surprised that they hadn't changed all the labels yet (it has been a few years after all). I'm not sure if they're safer - some of the best landings I've had have been in Russia in ancient Tupolev planes (at least they were build with cold weather in mind).
