My Grandmother is here. She's arrived last Tuesday and is leaving this Sunday. She's managed to do a lot while here - 2 days in Vienna, 2 days in Hamburg and on Sunday the three of us did a day trip to Weimar. It is actually a very nice little town with a couple of museums, and VERY good ice-cream, which makes any travel experience always better for me. But on that and Spain somewhat later... when we actually have time to sit down and write something decent. Tomorrow the two of us are off to see the Berlin towing tank - that's a pool to test performance of ships. My Grandma is a mathematician you see, and all of her professional career revolves around calculating ship forms that perform better against water resistance. This is how life is at 50 30N latitude adn 13 25E longitude!

ReplyDeleteIt's Melissa here from Melbourne. Just thought I would check up on you to see what you been up to. I had a dream about you last night. It was really strange we were altogether, you, me, Jack and Julius and we were having lunch at your place and your parents were there. I also had a dream that you told me that you were pregnant. I know it's probably just nothing, but the dream just came out of nowhere. Anyway you seem to be doing really well, except for missing Melbourne. Are you and Jack planning on coming back anytime soon. I know when I saw you before you left you were planning on staying for a year. But i think it's been like 2 years now. I'm doing ok, Julius and I are both working and waiting to save up some money so we can buy a house.
